A child in flight

For my seventh inktober drawing I wanted to challenge myself and draw another child. I have somehow managed to avoid drawing people for a few years while working as a freelance illustrator and wanted to use inktober this year to challenge myself in several areas. I normally don’t draw people or use color much, so my goal is to have at least one forth of my inktober drawings include human characters and all be done in color! I feel like I am making good progress thus far 🙂

A wild reading corner

My fifth inktober drawing combines two of my favorite things after art: nature and reading. This little girl has found the perfect reading corner for a mild autumn day and joined her has a curious redheaded bird. They both enjoy a good book.

I am currently working on an exciting project for a new client in Australia! Unfortunately I can’t share it until it is published in February 2017. In the mean time though, I sometimes have some time to continue working on my own coloring book. Here are some lovebirds in progress for my bird book 🙂
