Every January Make it in Design offers this really cool course called Winter School with creative exercises and relevant trend briefs for anyone interested in surface pattern design. This is my second year participating and I am super excited about the briefs. The first one is called Flower Power – Floral Clash. It is all about floral patterns, with moldboards, trend research and more. I totally recommend the course for anyone interested in pattern design. Below are some simple patterns I have made as a warm up to the course.

I love seeing how all of the colors i have used in my art look together. I can see that I need to use more mid tone greens next year and less yellows. If you are intersted in trying it ourself @makelight offers it on their website – it will like to your instagram account 🙂

New Year Resolutions visualized

New Year – New focus

New year, new focus, well at least some is new. I have discovered that going to the gym doesn’t happen no matter if it is a new year resolution or not, so there’s really no reason it should be. Instead I want to focus on health overall. Mental health, health though food and everyday physical movement. I also want to create more art and do things that I love, rather than following trends and assignments only. I have been so stressed in 2018 and I have discovered that the stress doesn’t amount to anything in the end except for headaches and wrinkles around the eyes. 2019 is going to be a year filled with positivity, deep breaths, healthy vegan food and creative adventures.
