Since I do not have a lot of time to update my blog this December, I am going to group a few images together now and then to let you know what I am working on. Here are two of my early december drawings. These two are done for the children’s market. My plan is to experiment with some different styles over the month of December to get more comfortable with Adobe Illustrator. Normally I work traditionally and primarily with linework, so this is rather new to me. I would love to know what you all think 🙂
My favorite time a year is here! Happy 1st of December everyone 😀 I hope you all have a wonderful christmas month with lots of sweets, coziness and quality time with your friends and family! That is what it is really all about 🙂
December 24th – Merry Christmas Everyone! Thank you so much to everyone who has followed my Christmas calendar this year. I want to with you all a lovely Christmas no matter where or how you are celebrating it. I hope 2015 has been a good year for all of you and that 2016 will be just as great if not better, or a fresh start for those who need it. Santa says Ho Ho Ho – May all your wishes come true in the coming year! This is the 24th and last illustration in my 2015 illustrated Christmas card series. Happy New year to all!
December 21st – Kissed under the mistletoe. Since Christmas is the celebration of love and tradition, hopefully the traditional meaning of the mistletoe can bring together new love or enforce old love between people. This is the 21st illustration in my Christmas coloring card series.
December 19th – Let it snow, Let it snow, oh please let it snow! There is nothing more traditional than a white Christmas, unfortunately it is not something we can controle. The weather forecast predicts 68F/22C for Christmas Eve in New York this year, so no snow for us. I have made up for it by cutting snowflakes in paper and pasting them on my windows 🙂 This is the 19th illustration in my Christmas coloring card series.
December 18th –From All of US to All of you, a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Time to get all those presents bought, wrapped and stored in a safe location before Christmas! In my family the kids deliver the presents to everyone else before taking their own. It is a great tradition for teaching kids the joy of giving and making other people happy. This is the 18th illustration in my Christmas coloring card series.
December 17th –Beautifully decorated front doors this Christmas! I don’t know about you, but one of my favorite thing to do during december is simply walking around admiring the beautifully decorated doors and hourses. Christmas lights, rings, snowmen – just seeing people enjoy making their homes cater to the Christmas Spirit around town. My mom made these beautiful rings every year since I was a little kid, so this is how my family home front door looks like most years 🙂 This is the 17th illustration in my Christmas coloring card series.
December 16th – Here comes the Nutcracker! A ballet that never gets tiring to watch. I was fortunate to get to go see a free version in Brooklyn earlier this month. I hope everyone else enjoyed at as much as me! This is the 16th illustration in my Christmas coloring card series.
December 15th – Hear the Angels Sing! Christmas is often associated with the beautiful motif of angle Children. Religious significance or not, I can enjoy the beautiful concept of angels, that belongs to Christmas. This is the 15th illustration in my Christmas coloring card series.
December 14th – One of the dearest Christmas holiday symbols Rudolph the reindeer. This is an illustration of him leading the way across the starry night sky on Christmas night. This is the 14th illustration in my Christmas coloring card series.
